I would love any information on the crashed bomber, that sounds like a rare treasure to behold.

Add some places for exploring you got in here.
Here's some I know of:
The old Air Force Base in KI Sawyer. There's a hopital and an old B-52 bomber that you can get into.
WW2 Bomber crash in the Porcupine Mtns.

Abandoned iron foundry between Marquette and Negaunee. In the backwoods, hard to get to but definitely worth it. Go down Country Road 492 behind Walmart from Marquette. Find Quarry rd on the right. The road in will be on the left. Beware, you'll need a car that can handle a super bumpy road. To enter the main building, go around back. A friend and I tore one of the metal sheets off of a window, but we found the door immediately after. Somewhat dangerous on the inside, don't stay there for too long. There are a lot of toxins in the air and also when you get into the mill, the oxygen to methane ratio is in favor of the methane. Pigeon shit EVERYWHERE!
This is probably my favorite place to explore. Beware of the dump that's only a stone's throw away. It's still active. It's pretty awesome too, though. Crushed cars, old cars, a bunch of other things. Be discreet.
Abandoned school in National Mine (south of Ishpeming). Googlemaps the town yourself, but you can get to the school by going down Country Road PB, drive for a while, then turn left. Then turn onto Pd, then Pdj. You should be able to see the school from Pd. County Road systems are confusing, sorry. Confusing to find, but really easy to get into and the locals don't seem to care. I got in there with a friend in broad daylight. Very safe, just wear some protective shoes. Glass is everywhere.
Bring a buddy to these places, they're kind of dangerous. Well, the first one is dangerous. Just don't go peeling paint off the walls in the school. Asbestus is never good.
Also, read the awesome poetry written on the chalkboards at the school. It's erie and awesome.
I've heard whispers of an abandoned mine. A friend of mine has been there but doesn't remember how to get there. I'll update you if I hear anything.
